To be held at the Houlton Humane Society Spay and Neuter building, 263 Callaghan Rd. Houlton, ME. Surgeries will be performed by Dr. Heikkinen & assistant Jessie Geis from Maine Woods Mobile Vet.

The Clinics are CASH ONLY for Full pay and Copays.

We may be able to help defer the cost if you need help from a grant we received. You will need proof of SSI, SSD, TANIF, or Food Stamps to receive assistance with the surgery cost. This can be discussed when we call you for your appointment.

Cat carriers MUST be clean and secure.

Feline Neuter: $ 95.00

Cryptorchid neuter: $110.00

Note: Fees include ear cleaning and rabies vaccine.

Extras can be purchased: Distemper $20.00 Advantage Flea treatment $10.00 for one treatment or $35.00 for four Treatments.

Dog and Cat Clinic: TBA

Usually scheduled for a three day Dog and Cat Clinic. This clinic usually held at the Linneus Firehouse, 1834 US-2A Linneus.

Fees are as follows: 

Canine Spay & Neuter: 

  • $235.00 for 2–25 lbs

  • $260.00 for 26-50 lbs

  • $310.00 for 51-75 lbs

  • $335.00 for 76-90 lbs

  • $360.00 for 91 lbs and above. A limited number of large dogs per day.

  • Note: Canine prices include rabies vaccine, dhlpp vaccine, nail trim, three days of pain medication, and an Ecollar. Flea treatment is $15 extra.

Feline spay:   $140.00 

Feline neuter: $ 110.00

Cryptorchid neuter: $140.00 

Help Fix ME vouchers are available through these vets.

When Help Fix ME vouchers are available, you will need proof of SSI, SSD, TANIF, or Food Stamps for cats and restricted breeds of dogs. There is a copay with these vouchers and most of our sponsored programs.
